Our Merstham Blacks team kicked off their 24/25 season with a match against Kingswood Ladies!

It was an energetic match from the get go, and the slightly unexpected sunshine made it hard going at times. Merstham got an early goal from Ali, who snuck the ball into the net, after a great assist from Lisa. Just before half time, Kingswood equalised, so it was 1-1 going into the second half.

Chrissie scored a cheeky second goal and with the wind in their tails and confidence on the pitch, Merstham started to gain the upper hand and Mel’s strike made the score 3-1. A fantastic start for the Blacks and a brilliant opening performance!

Shout out to all of the players today for really building on their strength from last season!
